Your library card provides full service to the collections of the main library and its four branches.
Books, magazines, videos, dvd's, audio books, internet access, online resources, newspapers,
copy machine, typewriter, microfilm reader and more...

Loan Period:
Books: 21 days, with two renewals
Magazines: 7 days, with one renewal
Videos: 21 days, with one renewal
DVD's:  21 days, with one renewal
Audio books: 21 days, with 1 renewal
Music CD's; 21 days, with one renewal

Borrowing Limits:
Books: 3 per subject
DVDs and Videos: 3 per person
Audio books: 4 per person
Magazines: 3 per title, 6 per person

Overdue Charges:
Books: $.10 per day
DVD and Video: $1.00 per day
Audio books: $.10 per day
Magazines: $.10 per day
Music CD's: $.10 per day

Maximum overdue is $10.00 per item

Material may be borrowed at the main library or any of its four branches.
Material may be renewed in person, online or by phone. Material
may be returned at the branch it was borrowed or any of the libraries
within the Amador County Library system.

How do I obtain a library card?
To obtain a library card please provide a picture ID and proof of address,
such as a piece of mail, bank statement, bill, rent receipt, etc.
A library card will be issued on the same day you apply. The first time the
new card is used you are limited to two items.  

Library cards are free however if the card is lost there is a
$1.00 charge to replace the card.
