California Announces Guidance for Additional Business Sectors

The State of California today announced guidance for businesses and sectors of variance-approved counties. The following should review their sector-specific guidance to prepare to re-open with implemented modifications as of June 12, 2020 if COVID-19 remains stable in Amador County:

One key factor that is included in all guidance is maintaining six-foot distance. If COVID-19 disease spread remains stable, these guidance documents will be posted to the Amador Road to Recovery webpage as authorization by the local Health Officer for these sectors to re-open with the modifications implemented:

Also announced today were statewide guidance and planning documents for schools and updated guidance for childcare:

Other California Stage 3 activities with prolonged personal contact, such as nail salons, tattoo parlors and massage therapy, are not yet permitted to re-open. Stage 4 activities, including large gatherings or those that bring people from many geographic areas together, such as weddings, concerts, festivals and fairs, are also not yet permitted as detailed in the State Health Officer’s Order:

Our community should remember individual actions everyone should take to keep themselves and our community healthy:

  • Anyone who is feeling ill should stay home.
  • Vulnerable (high risk) individuals – should continue to follow the State’s Stay-at-Home Order.
  • Wear face coverings – individuals are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering when in public.
  • Continue physical distancing – When in public, maximize physical distance from others (at least six feet).
  • Maintain good hygiene practices – Washing hands, use hand sanitizer, cleaning frequently touched surfaces, covering coughs and sneezes.
  • Non-essential travel is discouraged, stay close to home for recreation and leisure activities
