Mental Health Prevention and Early Intervention-Building Blocks of Resiliency
The Amador County Behavioral Health Department is requesting proposals from qualified providers to implement a Building Blocks of Resiliency program in Amador County. It is anticipated that one firm will be selected to perform all services related to RFP 20-12 Mental Health Prevention and Early Intervention-Building Blocks of Resiliency in collaboration with Amador County Behavioral Services Department.
The Building Blocks of Resiliency program will be funded using Mental Health Services Act dollars as stated under the MHSA Three Year Plan and Expenditure Report for fiscal years 20/21, 21/22 and 22/23.
Historically, the Building Blocks of Resiliency program has offered two components, both of which are evidence-based practices. These have included Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Aggression Replacement Training (ART) to help create stronger and healthier children, youth, and families with positive relationships. PCIT is designed to improve family functioning, resiliency, and cohesion as parents receive one-on-one coaching in “real time” to acquire skills and tools to improve the quality of the parent-child relationship. Through ART, youth develop a skill set for responding to challenging situations with social learning and cognitive behavioral strategies. PCIT is scheduled in the clinical setting and ART is a school-based program.
The goal of the Building Blocks of Resiliency program is to increase mental health protective factors and reduce risk factors for Amador County youth and their families.

Sealed RFP’s will be received by the County of Amador Purchasing Office; by U.S. Mail at 12200 B Airport Road, Jackson, CA 95642-9527; by U.P.S., Federal Express, or by other courier to 12200 B Airport Road, Martell, CA; 95654, until 1:30 PM, Thursday, May 28, 2020, at which time sealed RFP’s will be opened and read in the office of the Director of General Services Administration, located at the above Martell address. RFP’s received late, will be rejected and returned unopened. Telegraph, Facsimile (FAX) and E-Mail RFP’s will not be considered.
