    Numerous local students are currently without Tdap booster documentation. As the school year is starting in less than two weeks, it is increasingly important to remind parents of the new state Tdap (whooping cough) law requiring a booster prior to school attendance this year.

  • Pertussis Rate Climbs in Amador

    Pertussis (whooping cough) is on the rise in Amador County. In addition to the three cases reported last week, a positive result was received in a health care worker this week. Amador County Public Health and Sutter Amador Hospital are collaborating with the California Department of Public Health in investigating this case.
